Tae Tanaka (田中 多恵, Tanaka Tae) is a member of the Benthic Strike Team.

Appearance
Tanaka is a pale, thin woman with an angular face. Her black hair is pulled back into a tight ponytail. She wears the standard Alcyon Corporation uniform with the Benthic jacket over top, as well as a pair of rectangular-framed glasses.
Like the other Benthic Strike Team members, she has two grey cylindrical implants embedded in her skull. Hers are on her forehead, and when deactivated, a pair of upward-pointing horns that bend sharply backward at the tips project from them.
Personality
As the only member who shows up to every single mission, Tanaka considers herself the leader of the Benthic Strike Team. She is fanatically serious about her work, frequently criticizing her team members for their frivolity and attempting to keep them in line. Unfortunately, her words are rarely taken seriously because of her bad tactical sense and tendency to misunderstand things. In fact, Kenji Akagi often has to intervene to prevent her rash actions from endangering the rest of the team.
She claims to believe intelligence isn't as important as hard work and determination, but nonetheless hates to be called stupid. It visibly unbalances her even during missions, though her immense aura is generally enough to block any attacks sustained during these distractions.
Powers & Abilities
Immense Mist Capacity: As a member of the Benthic Strike Team, Tanaka has enormous reserves of mist, which are mostly channeled into boosting. Her aura is pale blue.
Mare
Absolute is a weapon-type mare that takes the form of a katana with a square tsuba and a hilt with blue wrapping. Tanaka can summon and dispel this sword at will.
When Tanaka swings the sword in a straight line, it cuts everything she sees along the path of the slash into two pieces. Demons, objects, and even entire buildings can be bisected this way, as long as the object is completely slashed through from Tanaka's perspective. This attack cannot be blocked in any way; those seeking to avoid it must dodge.
If an opponent knows how Absolute functions, they can easily avoid its effects by hiding behind a large enough object; even something as flimsy as cloth will take the hit and leave the intended target unharmed. Additionally, since the ability is based on Tanaka's own sight, blinding her will negate it, leaving Absolute as a regular sword.
